Irish International Immigrant Center’s 2013 Solas Awards Celebration

On Friday, December 6, 2013 the
Irish International Immigrant Center (IIIC) will present its annual Solas Awards during a celebration at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum to:

• Joyce and Bill
  Cummings,
  Cummings Foundation founders, in recognition of their commitment to reducing violence, prejudice, and intolerance, and for their tremendous
  philanthropic example.
• John (Jack)
  Joyce,
  Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, in recognition of his
  commitment to providing educational opportunities through scholarships for
  inner-city youth and for his role as an adviser for IIIC’s internship
  program for Irish University students and recent graduates.
• Raj Sharma, Managing Director, Wealth Management, and head of The Sharma Group of Merrill Lynch Private Banking & Investment Group, in recognition of his commitment to promoting cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, and for his inspirational example of achievement and civic engagement as an immigrant himself.
• John Hailer, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Americas and Asia for Natixis Global Asset Management, in recognition of his leadership in promoting philanthropy and volunteerism, and for his advocacy for Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

7:00 p.m.          Dinner and Award Presentations

raised through the Solas Awards Celebration will support the IIIC’s work
reuniting families, empowering individuals to build better lives for themselves
and their loved ones, and fostering communication and understanding across
cultures here in Massachusetts and in Ireland.
