Bill Gates and Bill Cummings Host Philanthropy Dinner in Woburn

The Winchester resident had dinner with the Microsoft co-founder.

The following was submitted by Joyce Vyriotes.

Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates dined with a group of local philanthropists Monday evening at the Beacon Grille restaurant at TradeCenter 128 in Woburn. The very private event was co-hosted by Winchester resident and Beacon Grille owner Bill Cummings and his daughter, Dr. Marilyn Morris of New Rochelle, NY.

Cummings and his wife, Joyce, were introduced to Gates last spring after publicly declaring their philanthropic intentions through the Giving Pledge, which Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet started in 2010. The Pledge invites the wealthiest Americans to commit to give more than half their wealth to charitable causes.
