Jennifer Ryan went to Winchester Hospital for a checkup on New Years Eve.
According to a press release from Winchester Hospital, Ryan noticed her baby, who was due on Jan. 5, wasn’t moving as much as it had been, so she headed in to make sure everything was okay. When she arrived at the hospital, her OB/GYN, Donald Druga, MD, recommended that she stay the night and deliver her baby the next morning.
At 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, Edward “Tedy” Ryan was born to Jennifer and Jon Ryan of Billerica. He weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

“Holding our baby for the first time was awesome,” Jennifer told the Hospital Staff. “It’s a feeling you can never imagine. We both fell in love with him immediately.”
The new parents expressed their gratitude to the Winchester Hospital team. “The staff has been wonderful. We’re so appreciative of everyone.”
