Consumer Confidence Increases in Housing Market

The real estate in New England is showing increased activity throughout the New England Market. Greater Boston Real Estate Board reports Winchester is up 17.6 percent in solds.

According to the RE/MAX of New England June Monthly Housing Report, there continues to be increased activity throughout the New England market. Overall, the number of units sold is up 13.1 percent year-over-year in New England. Month-over-month, the median price and number of units sold are up in every state we report on in New England. In addition, the number of pending sales, year-over-year, is up an average of 28.4%, indicating that consumer confidence continues to increase within the market.

“While we did see a modest dip in median price year-over-year, more units were sold both year-over-year and month-over-month,” said Dan Breault, Executive Vice President, RE/MAX of New England. “These factors indicate a stabilizing housing market with diminishing inventory.”
