Winchester Community Music School to Host Open House & Audition Festival

Got Music? Visit Winchester Community Music School this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for our Open House & Audition Festival Weekend.

Winchester Community Music School (WCMS) opens its doors to the community with a musical Open House and Audition Festival for its summer and fall programs. The hours are Friday 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 12-3 p.m. each day.

WCMS is pleased to announce several new programs for the coming year including a Treble Chorus, an intermediate level string orchestra, and a Suzuki violin and piano program. Adults, teens, and children are invited to attend this free event at 407 Highland Ave. to check out the school and learn more about its offerings.

Throughout the weekend, there will be early childhood music demonstration classes, recording studio tours, percussion demonstrations, and auditions for the string orchestra, treble chorus, and chamber ensembles. Faculty will be available to answer questions about vocal and instrumental instruction, ensembles, the school’s “Underground Program” (offerings for rock, blues, and popular music), group classes, music therapy and Suzuki offerings. Tours of the facility will be given throughout the weekend.
