Don't Miss: Environmental Fair on Saturday

Sustainable Winchester's Environmental Fair will be on the Town Common from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (weather permitting).

Sustainable Winchester will be hosting the Fourth Annual Environmental Fair on Saturday, Oct. 15, on the Town Common from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The rain date is Saturday, Oct. 22. The fair will take place alongside Winchester Farmers Market. Be sure to come enjoy what promises to be a great day!

We need your help to make the environmental fair a success. Here's what you can do:

  • Mark your calendar, and be sure to attend!        
  • Volunteer to help with setup and other tasks on the day of the fair. You can lend a hand for as little as one hour. Go to www.suswin.org/envfair11 and click on “Become a Volunteer.”
  • Share this message to anyone you know who might be interested in attending the fair.

The fair will be an educational event for everyone on energy, the environment, and outdoor recreational activities in and around Winchester.

More than thirty different environmentally friendly businesses, programs, and community groups will exhibit their products and initiatives. Exhibitors will include recycling and transportation companies.

The day will feature a series of lectures and a walking tour of historic trees of Winchester by Peter Wild.

Come learn about ways to save energy in your home, renewable energy alternatives, and ways in which the Town of Winchester is on the leading edge of energy and environmental activism.

Look for the many fun activities for the whole family: children’s activities and performances, our regular, fabulous farmers market, and musical shows.

Come enjoy the day, shop for produce from local farms, learn about efficient energy use, let your children play, listen to live music, and dance.

Plan to use public transportation if possible. Walk, bike, or take the train or bus.
