Hot Off the T: 5 Things To Do in Boston This Weekend

Weird Al Yankovic; South End house tour; and a book festival.

(All events are in walking distance from Orange Line stops on the MBTA.)

1.) :  The South End Historical Society's 43rd annual self-guided walking tour of some of this neighborhood's best homes. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $25
Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 10 minutes to the Boston Center for the Arts lobby at 539 Tremont St. 

2.) WEIRD AL YANKOVIC: The master of satirical musical shlock plays the Orpheum, Saturday at 8 p.m.
Take the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing Station and walk 2 minutes to the theater.

3.) : Old South Meeting House will host a celebration to commemorate the raising of an historic bell, made by Paul Revere in 1801, to its clock tower. Sunday at 1 p.m. Free.
Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 5 minutes to the meeting house. 

4.) BOSTON BOOK FESTIVAL: Authors, workshops, live music, booksellers, activities and presentations for children, and delicious food.  On Saturday at Copley Square. Free, but reservations are suggested for some events.

5.) MIDDLE EAST PLAY"Speaker's Progress" is a play put on by a major middle eastern theater company. It's described as using "Twelfth Night to explore events in the Middle East." At Emerson's Paramount Theater, Saturday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
