Weekend Planner: Holiday Concerts and a Night of the Arts

Here are some suggestions of what to do this weekend.

Where/When: ; Saturday, Dec. 17

Why Go: McCall's own performance choir, the Jubilation Singers, are holding their annual Holiday Concert.  Tickets can be purchased at Bookends or at the door the evening of the performance.

Where/When: ; Friday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m.

Why Go: The Entrepreneurial Youth Society will host its First Annual Night of the Arts on Friday, Dec. 16 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. to promote entrepreneurship, art and enriched education. All revenue earned from the event will go primarily towards the American Studies trip to Chicago. Tickets can be purchased at Book Ends.

Pricing: $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Where/When: Woburn Mall, 300 Mushawum Road; Saturday, Dec. 17, 11 a.m.

Why Go: It's getting closer to Christmas, so be sure to stop by and see Santa before he makes his big trip on Dec. 24.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: ; Saturday, Dec. 17, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Why Go: The Up & Coming Acting Company presents its second annual family-friendly holiday show "Scrooge"  It's a new version of the Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, adapted by Kimberly Davis Basso and directed by Meghan Kenney. There are special twists and surprises as Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future try to warn Scrooge - change your ways before it's too late! It's a heart warming holiday tradtion, brought to life by the Up and Coming Acting Company.

Where/When: , Arlington; Sunday, Dec. 18, 8 p.m.

Why Go:The Regent Theatre’s annual Rock N’ Soul Holiday Concert returns. An all-star line-up of musicians and performers will hit the stage at the third annual Rock & Soul Holiday Benefit Concert to raise funds for two non-profits: Music Drives Us and Toys for Tots.

Pricing: $30.
