A True Heartfelt Thank

Sons of Italy hosted a fundraiser for a victim of a vehicle accident in April.

Some of you may remember, back in April the weekend of Palm Sunday my very good friend and his female friend were in a horrific motor vehicle accident on I-93 on the Woburn/Stoneham Line. His female companion tragically expired from the injuries sustained in the accident. My friend Joey Rocco Testa was med-flighted to Mass General Hospital and sustained life threatening trauma to his head, neck and throughout his body. He was given a very slim chance of survival, now 15 weeks later still in a coma like state, he continues his fight in rehab were he undergoes physical therapy and medication to help bring him back to his family and friends.

This past Friday evening we (his family, friends and myself) held a fundraiser for Joey at the hall in Winchester to help him and his family with his medical expenses. The fund raiser was a huge success and raised some serious money to help Joey and his family.

This could not and would not have happened without the generosity and support of our small business community, namely; J & B Butcher Shop and Oakdale Liquors. So on behalf of Joey and his family I would like to send a True Heartfelt thank you to J & B Butcher Shop located at (Village Green Plaza 1555 Main St. Tewksbury, MA, Phone: 978-851-MEAT (6328) Fax: 978.851.6378) for instantly stepping up and donating both food for the event and gift certificates that were raffled to raise money.

Additionally on behalf of Joey and his family I would also like to thank Oakdale Liquors at (1900 Main St. Tewksbury MA, Phone: 978-851-5512) for their donation of gift baskets and wine that was also raffled to raise money.

We are so blessed to have such wonderful caring small business owners/ businesses in our town. Please help me to show them love, and a continued thank you for their unselfish generosity by supporting these businesses with your patronage/business.
