A Letter to the Editor submitted by Winton Club Cabaret 2013 Producer/Chairwoman Lianne Green.

[Editor's note: The following is a Letter to the Editor submitted by Winton Club Cabaret 2013 Producer/Chairwoman Lianne Green.]

Dear Winchester Patch Editor:

Well, the magic dust from Cabaret 2013 has settled. The snow conveniently moved in after the show, and spring is right around the corner. Before I exit stage left, I must reflect and thank everyone for supporting the Winton Club Cabaret 2013, “Myth, Magic and Mystery.”

The support from the Winchester Patch was outstanding, including your coverage of everything from my producer announcement, Winchester Town Day, the farmer’s market, auditions and all the show activity in January. On behalf of the Winton Club and Winchester Hospital, thank you so much! We would not be able to spread the word without you.

I also appreciate the efforts of every Winton Club member. This club is fantastic and amazing. The committee chairs were enthusiastic and supportive to make this fantasy theme come to life. The club is so talented with many professionals shining through on scenery, graphic design, marketing, costumes, programs, and sponsors, among others. I so enjoyed the exponential creativity in the masks, scenery, props, auditorium signs, costumes, program ideas, fascinators, witches, decorations, publicity, and more. I found working with the stage crew delightful as they crafted my every wish.

Thanks to the hard work of the artistic team to create a wonderful story line with humorous dialogue, the awesome band that filled the auditorium with great sound, the masterful choreographers who created interesting movement for everyone to look remarkable and have fun doing it! I had a great time creating this show with this talented professional team including Dana Siegal, Steve Bergman, Beth Kennedy and Alison Fox. I would also like to send a special thanks to Mike Condon who added many special effects with exciting lighting design including loaning us his very own crystal ball.

The ultra-talented cast that took this show and made it spectacular! Each of you found your groove in the Voodoo Lounge and beyond. From witches to werewolves to the magic carpet ride, you created characters that were fun to watch and engaged the audience.

Also, my hat is off to the good people of Winchester Town Hall. Their annual hospitality to the cabaret is generous and appreciated.

I would be remiss not to mention the important cabaret sponsors. Those businesses directly support the fundraising effort of the Winton Club through donations to the cabaret. Over 35 area businesses contributed to “Myth, Magic and Mystery” including many returning sponsors. The Winton Club and Winchester Hospital gratefully acknowledge their contributions.

As an employee of Winchester hospital, I feel very blessed to have the Winton Club’s support of the hospital. I believe that the hospital would not be the strong community hospital with the family feel without this Winton Club relationship. Winchester Hospital is different from other hospitals, not only because of our attention to the best quality medicine but also because we provide the best personal care. I’m so proud to be an employee of Winchester Hospital and a Winton Club member.

Magically yours,

Lianne Green
