There's No Secret to Creating a Successful Company

In tough economic times business owners have been known to focus so hard on staying in business that employee job satisfaction becomes less of a priority.  This is a fatal mistake.

Recently at a reception for The Boston Globe's Top Places to Work winners I was struck by the overwhelming optimism, energy and enthusiasm of the participants.  These business leaders were not wary about the future.  The knew the key ingredient to be successful regardless of the economic climate.

Workplace Dynamics, an international survey comapny, reports that year after year the most successful companies are the ones that the employees believe in.  A company's long term performance always improves when management listens to their employees.
