UPDATED: 2011 WHS Grad Missing from NH

Elizabeth 'Lizzi' Marriott was last seen Tuesday night.

Police in Chester, N.H. are searching for Westborough resident and 2011 Westborough High School graduate Elizabeth "Lizzie" Marriott, who attends the University of New Hampshire.

Marriott, 19, "sent a text message to a friend saying she was headed to a friend’s house in Portsmouth around 9 p.m. Tuesday," Chester Police said in an announcement on their town's website today.

"Since then, no one has seen or heard from her," police said.

"Those who know Marriott tell police this is out of character for her and she has never left without telling anyone where she is going in the past. Marriott is a commuter student at the UNH and lives with relatives in Chester.

"She drives a tan, 2001 Mazda Tribute. If you know anything about her whereabouts, please call Chester Police at (603) 887-2080."

Marriott received a Dunkin' Donuts/Marino Organization Music Scholarship during her high school graduation. The Westborough Fine Arts Education Association presented the scholarship.

"Liz is a great kid. A very kind, gentle young woman who is very conscientious and dedicated to her studies," WHS Principal John Smith said today.

"She was very active in the music department as well. All of us at Westborough High School are thinking of her and her family. We hope she is found safe very soon."

The police NEED to order aerial searches by helicopter to see if they can spot her vehicle off a roadway. Time is of the essence. Utility companies may volunteer their services to fly above areas. Disturbed gravel on sides of roadways as well as disturbed trees need to be observed and checked. Again...time is of the essence and this should be done immediately. Please.
