Winchester Under 'Red Flag' Fire Warning Today

The National Weather Service issued the warning due to an increased chance of fires starting because of the dry weather.

The National Weather Service has placed Winchester, and much of Massachusetts and Connecticut and all of Rhode Island under a "red flag warning" today due to an increase in the likelihood of fires caused by wind and dry weather.

The NWS warning states that the combination of strong winds and low relative humidity and temperatures in the high 50s will create an elevated fire spread potential in the area.
