Domino Effect Fender Benders and More in Police Logs from Sept. 19 to Sept. 22

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

7:30 a.m., Sept 18: A car traveling south on Highland Avenue was struck by a car turning onto Myrtle Street.

7:12 a.m., Sept. 19: A Jeep entered the rotary and almost struck the front of a police cruiser near the Church Street exit. The driver was issued a criminal citation for operating without a license.

7:30 a.m., Sept. 19: A car failed to yield while turning while turning left from Blossom Hill Road onto Cambridge Street. The vehicle crashed into a car heading northbound on Cambridge Street. This vehicle suffered heavy damage to the driver’s side and needed to be towed. No injuries were reported.

8:00 a.m., Sept. 19: A vehicle was rear ended at the stop light at Cambridge Street and Church Street.

3:07 p.m., Sept. 19: An officer stopped a black Saab on Clark Street for an expired registration sticker. The registration was nonrenewable due to either excise tax or parking ticket violations out of Lynn. The driver was issued a summons.

10:21 a.m., Sept. 20: A car traveling southbound on Washington Street was rear-ended by another car. There was minimal damage and no citation issued.

3:41 p.m., Sept. 20: A caller reported an attempted online fraud at about 12 p.m.. An unknown person contacted the caller about computer repairs/update work. The caller hung up.

3:57 p.m., Sept. 20: Officers responded to a report of a stolen license plate off of a utility trailer. No other damage was reported.

11:30 a.m., Sept. 21: A caller reported finding a green BMX bike near their fence on Wildwood Street. The biker had clearly been left outside for a while given the rust on the chain.

2:45 p.m., Sept. 22: Four cars were involved in a domino effect rear ending/bumper to bumper accident at the red light at the intersection of Cambridge Street.
