Obscene Phone Calls, Several Car Accidents

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

Thursday, Dec. 19  

3:46 p.m.: A caller reported obscene phone calls at about 2:06 a.m. on Dec. 18 on Cambridge Street. The caller reported a similar call that morning at about 6:50 a.m. These calls were sexual in nature and generally obscene. Officers traced the number and found that the caller was calling from Harriman, Tenn.. Officers attempted to contact the caller without any success.  

7:20 p.m.: A car was parked on the side of Mayflower Road when a car backed into it while attempting to park in their driveway.  

Friday, Dec. 20  

6:25 a.m.: A caller reported an unlocked bike found near the inbound side of the Commuter Rail station.    

12 p.m.: A car pulled out of their spot on Main Street at the intersection of Mystic Valley Parkway and struck another car waiting at the intersection.  

2:12 p.m.: A car rear-ended another on Forest Street when they crossed the yellow line. All parties were uninjured.  

Saturday, Dec. 21  

11:43 a.m.: Officers placed a man in protective custody after they determined that he was impaired near the Winchester Cooperative Bank. Officers could smell alcohol on his breath and saw his eyes were bloodshot. The man agreed to come to the station without issue.  

Sunday, Dec. 22  

2:57 p.m.: A car crashed into another in the intersection of Ridge Street and Johnson Road.
