Police Log: Car Hits Tree and Home Broken Into

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Jan. 22, 1:15 p.m. – Winchester Police responded to Mystic Valley Parkway and Bacon Street for an accident. According to a witness who was walking her dog along Ginn Road, she heard a car accelerate behind her. She told police that the car eventually passed over Ginn Road and crashed into a tree.

According to police, there were no skid marks in the area and there was the medicine amitriptyline in the car. The drive – from Melrose – was taken to Mass General. He had lacerations to his head and chest, but was released the next day. He told police that he doesn’t remember what happened.

Monday, Jan. 23, 2:15 p.m. – A Wedgemere Avenue resident told police that someone siphoned gasoline from their car. Approximately four to five gallons were taken.

2:22 p.m. - Winchester Police were called to Park Avenue for a domestic dispute.

2:37 p.m. – A Wildwood Street couple had their home broken into on Monday afternoon. Stolen was a flat screen TV.

3:21 p.m. – A Lockeland Road resident noticed damage to a rock wall on his property. The man told police that he thinks a car damaged the wall, but is not sure.
