Police Log: Car Stolen and Sanborn House Struck

This is an excerpt from the Winchester Police Log from Monday, May 23 to Wednesday, May 25.

Tuesday, May 24, 11:06 a.m. – A Glengarry Road resident informed police that someone was illegally using his credit card. Charges were made to Dell for a computer worth $955, shoes worth $395 and paypal for $216.

The resident cancelled the card.

12:15 p.m. – While pulling into a parking space at the Ambrose School, a Woburn resident said her car accelerated on its own, hopped the curb and crashed into the corner of the Sanborn House.

There was minimal damage to the house, but the woman complained of chest pains after she hit the steering wheel. She was transported to Winchester Hospital.

12:37 p.m. – A construction work who was working on a Washington Street house parked his car in front of the property and left his key on the center console. When the man returned to his vehicle – a gold 1999 Saturn with New Hampshire plates – someone had stolen it.

12:57 p.m. – A Llyod Street resident had her unlocked motor vehicle entered into. Stolen was her Garmin GPS.
