Police Log: Christmas Tree Cut Down Illegally

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 3, 8:52 a.m. – Winchester Police were called to Winter Pond where a 50-60 foot pine tree was cut down. According to the police report, there were cut marks in the tree that were consistent with a saw. Officers all said that the tree was cut on an angle so it would fall into the street.

Wednesday, Jan. 4, 11:07 p.m. – A 20-year-old Winchester man was cited for having open containers of alcohol in his car. When asked to take a field sobriety test, the man passed.
