The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 1, 5 p.m. – Upon returning from vacation, a Marchant Road resident noticed that his rear sliding, glass door had been shattered. Winchester Police were unable to locate an object that may have caused the damage. And the man informed the officer that nothing appears to have been stolen.

5:51 p.m. – A Harvard Street resident parked his car in front of his property, and when he returned someone had hit it, damaging the left panel.

Saturday, July 2, 9:55 a.m. – A Lawson Road resident found a solar light in the middle of his yard.

2:12 p.m. – A Pine Street resident brought her patio furniture to the front of her house to clean. The woman went inside to do other things. When she returned, about 45 minutes later, someone had taken her Jordan Black, light brown wicker table and glass ($500) and an ottoman ($300).

Unfortunately, ANYONE can get through a sliding glass door. Every crook has a key...a rock or hammer. What needs to be done is that the entire door has to be covered with a security door.
