Police Log: Home Break-ins Continue and Multiple Arrests

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, August 4, 12:07 p.m. – James Davison, 38, and Paul Gallagher, 41, both of Somerville were arrested in front of Winchester Savings Bank for possession of a Class E substance.

1:52 p.m. – A Washington Street man told police that someone tried to break into his home. According to the man, he left his mother, who is bed-ridden and hard of hearing, in the home for about two hours. When he returned someone tried to knock down the front door.

The door frame and deadbolt were both severely damaged. The man doesn’t believe anything was taken.

2:51 p.m. – A Forest Street resident told police that the screen behind her kitchen sink had been cut open and someone broke into her home.

A computer, TV and jewelry were taken from the home.

Friday, August 5, 4:11 p.m. – Upon returning home, a Fells Road couple saw the screen to one of their windows off its track. Winchester Police don’t believe anyone was able to get into the home.

A neighbor told the officer that he saw a man suspiciously running down Fells Road.

4:26 p.m. – A Mason Street resident just returned from the Cape and found that her home had been broken into.

Winchester Police believe the perpetrator entered the home by removing the screens on the windows. Two diamond rings and some jewelry was some of the items taken from the home.

6:49 p.m. – Natalie Wade, 27, of Lowell was arrested in the Burger King parking lot for an outstanding warrant. She was charged with one count of check forgery and one count of uttering false checks.
