Police Log: House Party Broken Up and NSTAR Pickup Stolen

Friday, Oct. 7

4:34 p.m. – An East Street resident reported that her 2010 Subaru had a window smashed while she was in the Winchester Tennis Center for about 15 minutes. A wallet was taken from the vehicle, she said.

8 a.m. – An Arlington Street resident reporter that the front passenger side window on his 2008 Lexus GX470 had been smashed overnight.

8:34 a.m. – A High Street resident reported that his 2008 Mazda CX-9 had its sunroof smashed overnight and his Droid cell phone had been taken from the vehicle.

5:49 p.m. – Charles Christopher Jr., 47, of Robinhood Road, was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

8:43 p.m. A Main Street resident was watching a movie when she heard a loud noise outside her home. When police arrived, they found that a clay bird house had been smashed against a neighbor’s car.

9:28 p.m. – Police responded to a large house party on Forest Street. Upon arrival, they witnessed “dozens” of teenagers running away from the residence. They also saw several beer cans and plastic cups on the residence’s front lawn. When police approached the house, they could hear the teens saying, “They can’t come in; lock them out,” and, “Let’s hide; shut off all the lights.” The teenagers began to shut off the lights and lock the doors and windows. Then, after ordering the front door open several times without a response, a police officer climbed through a kitchen window to gain access to the house. Inside, he found more beer cans and plastic cups, along with pitchers of beer. One minor was charged with underage consumption of alcohol; the rest were picked up by their parents.

10:37 p.m. – A group of teens leaving the Forest Street party were located in a vehicle on Churchill Circle. One minor was charged with underage possession of alcohol; the rest were picked up by their parents.

Monday, Oct. 10

2:18 p.m. – A Winchester fire truck was attempting to back into the station on Mount Vernon Street when a ladder struck the driver’s side mirror on a parked box truck and broke it.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

6:10 a.m. – A Nathaniel Road resident reported that his company NSTAR pickup truck was stolen from his driveway sometime the previous night. The truck was valued at $15,000.

7:54 a.m. – A Lebanon Street resident reported that a $400 GPS and various car chargers were taken from their Jeep Grand Cherokee sometime the previous night.

11:58 a.m. – A house painter reported that his $500 industrial paint sprayer had been stolen from a shed at a Salisbury Street residence, which he has been painting.

3:35 p.m. – A high school student reporter her purple Schwinn 21-speed ladies’ mountain bike missing. The student had left the bike outside the Lincoln School fence that morning, after she had popped a tire on the way to school, according to police.

10:07 p.m. – A Hillcrest Parkway residence had a laptop, jewelry box and cash taken from it between 7:15 and 10 p.m., according to police. The perpetrator gained entry through a garage window, police said.
