Police Log: Illegal Dumping and Driving With No Hands

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 1, 4:13 p.m. – A Fernway Terrace resident told police that while she was in Stop and Shop someone stole her wallet.

9:11 p.m. – An Edward Drive resident told police that he’s been receiving four to five harassing calls a day. The voice on the other end wanted him to identify who he was.

Thursday, Feb. 2, 11 a.m. – A Stoneham resident told police that while his car was parked along Church Street, someone struck his vehicle, damaging the bumper.

11:16 a.m. – A Winchester Place resident told police that someone threw eggs at her car, while it was parked in the driveway.

3:04 p.m. – A Swanton Street boy reported his bicycle – a BMX Haro – missing after he parked it in front of the library.

Friday Feb. 3, 2:31 p.m. – A Chelsea man was pulled over on Vine Street and Elmwood Avenue for having his registration revoked.

Saturday, Feb. 4, 12:30 p.m. – Winchester Police were called to Hutchinson Road where a Cambridge woman was trespassing and harassing the resident.

1:25 p.m. – The foreman of Calvary Cemetery informed Winchester Police that someone was illegally dumping debris into his dumpster. Some of the garbage was mail that had a Wakefield address on it.

The home was being renovated and police told the contractor – a Haverhill man – to remove his trash from the dumpster.

Sunday, Feb. 5, 10:56 a.m. – A Cox Road resident was pulled over along Waterfield Road for holding his dog in one hand and drinking coffee in his other.

Police cited the woman because her registration was expired and nonrenewable due to unpaid parking tickets.
