Police Log: Multiple Break-ins Mixed

This is an excerpt of the Winchester Police Log from Friday, July 23 through Monday, July 26

July 23, 7:02 a.m. – Winchester police were called to Robinson Park early Friday morning responding to a car break-in. The rear-window was broken and the owner of the vehicle stated that a Dell laptop that was in the back seat was stolen.  The owner assumed the break happened sometime the night before, when he was attending a performance at the Northshore Music Theater.

July 23, 7:44 a.m. – Police arrived at Church Street responding to another car break-in. The owner of the vehicle believed the incident occurred sometime the night before. The driver's side window was smashed in and the owner had his wallet stolen, with $150 and a number of credit cards.

July 23, 11:55 a.m. – A Yale Street-resident called the police to her home when two men she believed to be suspicious rang her doorbell. When she answered the door the men had already left. The police found the men on Oxford Street, and were fixing a hole in a driveway for $300. The police informed the men that in order to solicit business they need to register with the police department. When the men finished sealing the hole, the police determined it was not what the homeowner had wanted. They agreed on receiving $100 for payment instead.

July 23, 12:47 p.m. – Winchester police arrived at the Vinson-Owen school responding to a call that four blue kiddie pools were missing. One of the school employees mentioned she saw the a pool along Ridge Street. When the police arrived there, they found the four missing pools.

July 25, 2:26 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious car on Clark Street. As the officer approached the car, which was off to the side of the road, he noticed the headlights were on and the car was still running. The driver was passed out and lying across the front seat. The officers believed the man had been drinking.

After taking and failing a field sobriety test, the officers arrested the driver, later known to be Todd Macisaac.
