Police Log: Nanny Arrested and Suspect Chased

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 29 – Winchester Police arrested 24-year-old nanny, Megan Robinson of North Billerica for larceny. Robinson was hired by a Winchester family who reported that she had been stealing money from the home.  After discovering missing cash, the family used a “nanny cam” to monitor the home and caught Robinson in the act.  

Saturday, March 10, 2:18 p.m. – Winchester Police responded to Swanton Street for a domestic dispute.

8:17 p.m. – A Briarwood Lane resident was cooking dinner at a Myrtle Street home when an unknown man entered the home. The resident chased the man, who was wearing a dark jacket and white baseball cap out of the house.

The unknown man ran towards Washington Street and jumped into a car that was waiting for him on Washington Street. The man got into the car and sped away. The Winchester resident could not see the man’s face or determine the type of car that drove away.

Sunday, March 11, 12:44 a.m. – A Washington Street resident was arrested for drunk driving Sunday morning.

Samantha Maher, 37, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence. According to police, Maher was pulled over for driving erratically along Bacon Street and Mystic Valley Parkway.

After she failed a field sobriety test Maher was arrested by the Winchester PD.
