Police Log: Pedestrian Struck by a Car and Security Guard Assaulted
The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Sept. 29, 6:28 p.m. – A High Street resident was struck by a car while she was attempting to cross North Main Street. The driver of the car, a Bridge Street man, told police that it was raining very had and the woman jumped out from behind a parked car and he could not stop in time. The woman injured her arm in the crash.
Monday, Oct. 3, 10:01 a.m. – Winchester Police picked up a sick raccoon along Swanton Street. They transported it to the Transfer Station will they disposed of it with a shotgun.
10:35 p.m. – A security guard at Winchester Hospital told police that, while they tried to restrain a Wilmington man he head-butted him.

10:59 p.m. – A Winchester resident left the Gables to go to the RMV in Wilmington, but did not return that night. The woman took her car – a white 1999 Chevrolet Malibu.
