Police Log: Possible Home Invasion and Christmas Lights Damaged

Saturday, Dec. 10, 12:30 p.m. – A Sunset Road resident told police that for the third time this year, someone has cut her Christmas lights. She said that after she fixes them, someone cuts them again.
11:17 p.m. – Winchester Police were called to Winchester High School for an attempted break-in. According to the custodian, someone tried to push in one of the windows. Police did not see anyone in the area.
Sunday, Dec. 11, 1:33 p.m. – A Cambridge Street man told police that early Sunday morning someone walking up the stairs in his home waked him up. He told police that he took apart a music stand in his closet and used the pipe to protect himself.

The man looked out the window and saw a white pickup truck in his driveway. He then saw a man run into it and get in the passenger door. The car then drove away. Police were unable to locate the car in the area.
Monday, Dec. 12, 12:24 a.m. – An Ardley Road resident had their car broken into. The woman told police that she saw someone rummaging through her car. The person ran off once she saw him. A change holder and some CDs were taken.
