Police Log: Snow Causes Accidents Around Winchester
The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Jan. 20, 11:48 a.m. – A Wilmington woman stopped by the crosswalk on Skillings Road to allow a pedestrian to walk across the street. A Medford man, driving behind her, crashed into her car, pushing it about 100-feet down the road. No injuries were reported.
9:42 p.m. – While pulling into a parking space at the Town Pantry, a Woburn teenager accelerated into the parking space instead of breaking. The car hit the Town Pantry causing significant damage.
The driver had three other passengers in his car – violating his junior license.

Saturday, Jan. 21, 4:46 a.m. – Winchester Police responded to Loring Avenue for a fire alarm. The fire department forced entry into the home where they found a pot of burning food on the stove.
The resident of the apartment had fallen asleep after putting the pot on the stove.

1:11 p.m. – While driving along Swanton Street, a Woburn woman lost control of her car and crashed into the Swanton Street diner. The woman was cited for operating a car without a license.
2:53 p.m. – A Highland Avenue man was turning onto Park Avenue when another Highland Avenue resident crashed into the turning car, pushing it into a plow. No injuries were reported.
4:20 p.m. – While parked along Main Street, a Wakefield man had his car struck and damaged by a plow.
