Police Log: Threatening Texts, Dog Attack and an Arrest

This is an excerpt from the Winchester Police Log from Monday, May 9 to Friday, May 13.

Saturday, May 7, 11:37 a.m. – A Fox Hunt Lane resident told police that his former friend has been sending him threatening text messages. The messages wanted him to fight. While the Winchester resident wasn’t concerned about the messages, he wanted it documented. The Fox Lane man needs to appear in court for threats to commit a crime against his former friend’s girlfriend.

Monday, May 9, 8:59 a.m. – While walking her dog along Lynch soccer field, a Woodside Road resident was attacked by another dog. This dog – a black and white Boston terrier – tried to bite her dog, but bit the woman’s hand instead. The terrier, owned by a Pond Street couple, is up to date on all its shots. But the Winchester Animal Control Officer informed the couple that their dog must be on a leash at all times.

9:57 a.m. – Winchester Police responded to Pine Street where a resident reported a larceny. The woman said that she had jewelry and silverware missing and believes that her housecleaner is responsible. The woman said that she had just dismissed her cleaning lady, but let her finish out the day.

The Pine Street resident also said that nothing was thrown about and none of her locked doors or windows were broken.

Wednesday, May 11, 10:58 a.m. – A Fletcher Street resident had invited a friend he met from Japan to stay with him. The man’s female friend has become abusive and yells at him a lot.

The man began suffering chest pains and no longer wants her to stay with him.

4:24 p.m. – A Winchester resident was arrested on drug charges.
