Police Log: Truck Crashes into Overhead Wires

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, August 3, 12:19 a.m. – Winchester Police pulled over a Saugus man along Governors Avenue and Washington Street for driving a vehicle without insurance.

2:47 p.m. – A Lynn man was driving a truck along Marion Street when it got stuck in an overhead Verizon wire. The truck pulled the wire down causing minor damage to the home and knocking out the resident’s TV, internet and phone.

12:53 p.m. – A Newton man had his Saab struck by a BMW and then it drove man. The license plate belongs to a Rangeley Road resident who told police that it may have been his car, but he’s not sure.
