Police Log: Winchester Man Arrested and Teenager Struck By Car

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Dec. 7, 7:51 a.m. – A Winchester High School student was struck by a car as he was crossing Skillings Road.

Skillings turns into a two-lane road during the morning rush hour, and as the student tried to cross the street one car stopped to let him cross. However, according to witnesses, the boy didn’t stop to look if a car was coming in the second lane. The boy jumped out and was hit by a car.

The teenager was uninjured, but was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for observation.

Wednesday, Dec. 7, 7:11 p.m. – While pulling out of the Hess parking lot on Cambridge Street, a Somerville man hit a bicyclist with his car. The Woburn cyclist was uninjured.

6:35 p.m. – A Squire Road resident had his unlocked car broken into. His GPS was stolen.
