Police Log: Winchester Officers Break Up Multiple Fights

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Sept. 3, 1:56 a.m. – Winchester Police were called to Governors Avenue to break up a fight in the street. A Governors Avenue resident had a party at her home and three Lynnfield men showed up and started a fight.

Sunday, Sept. 4, 1:15 p.m. – A Forest Street resident informed police that someone had attempted to break into his home. There were pry marks left near one of his windows.

Monday, Sept. 5, 9:18 a.m. – A Wildwood Street resident had his trunk lid spray painted, while his car was parked in the driveway. Also, someone had tossed eggs onto her property.

9:35 p.m. – An Amberwood Drive couple had toilet paper thrown onto their home. The couple said they saw five to six boys running away.

Thursday, Sept. 8, 3:16 p.m. – A 19-year-old Winchester man and a 21 year-old Somerville man got into a fight at the Shields Car Wash along Main Street. According to police, by the time they arrived at the scene the altercation was over.

The officer recovered two knives from the scene. But both parties refused to say what happened. Since there were no witnesses, both men were allowed to leave the area with a warning.

5:55 p.m. – A Nashua woman brought her son to see his doctor, who is located in Winchester. The woman told police that her ex-husband showed up at the office and was verbally hostile towards her.

Winchester Police advised the woman to take out a restraining order against her ex-husband.
