Police Log: Winchester Police Investigate Accidental Larceny

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, June 19, 9:13 a.m. – A Cross Street resident had been leasing an apartment to a Winchester man. The man was three months behind on rent when he moved out, breaking the lease.

Upon entering the apartment, the landlord noticed that the renter took all their items, as well as some items that belonged to the landlord. After contacting the tenant, he informed Winchester Police that it was a misunderstanding and he will bring the items back.

Monday, June 20, 6:09 p.m. – A Wedgemere Avenue man told police that he was walking along Nelson Street on Saturday when he place his iPod on the ground. Later that day, the man realized he left it there, but when he returned the iPod was missing.

Tuesday, June 21, 4:24 p.m. – While driving along Church Street, a Reading man admitted to police that he rolled through a stop sign, crashing into the car of a Wyoming man. The Wyoming resident was suffered cuts to his head and was taken to Winchester Hospital.
