Police Log: Winchester Police Respond to Burglaries

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, June 27, 7:29 p.m. – A Main Street resident informed Winchester Police that sometime over the weekend his apartment was broken into. According to the officer, the suspect was able to break through the front door by using either his foot or shoulder.

The perpetrator stole cash, an iPod, watch and a clock radio.

Tuesday, June 28, 6:08 a.m. – A construction company is building a home along McCall Road. The owner called Winchester Police to inform them that someone stole two rolls of copper wire ($3,000) from the construction site.

10:21 a.m. – Winchester Police were driving along Forest Street responding to a house alarm when they spotted a black Range Rover travelling 50 mph on the road.

The Stoneham driver had a suspended license and was issued a citation.

10:20 p.m. – Winchester Police were called to LaGrange Road for a domestic dispute.
