Police Log: Winchester Teen Arrested and House Broken Into

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, June 23, 3:06 p.m. – Winchester Police responded to Everell Road to investigate a burglary. A house alarm had gone off and when the officer arrived on the scene he noticed that the back door was open and there were footprints on the inside of the house. After inspecting the home, no one was inside.

Friday, June 24, 8:13 a.m. – An Elmwood Avenue resident informed Winchester Police that someone broke the front passenger window of his 2008 Chevy HHR and stole a Zoom Q3 digital camera ($300) and a Mac Book Pro computer valued at $2,500.

3:25 p.m. – A 17-year-old Winchester resident was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, which caused an accident, being a minor transporting alcohol, having an open container of alcohol within his car, marked lanes violation and failing to stay in the roadway.

According to Winchester Police, John Constant of 51 Westland Avenue, crashed his vehicle into a fire hydrant located on Penn Road, while under the influence of alcohol.

3:54 p.m.– A Swanton Street resident dropped his pair of $300 Brooks Brothers bifocal glasses around the Starbucks area.
