Police Log: Winchester Track Runner Stalked and Pants are Thrown

Saturday, Nov. 26, 10:01 a.m. – A Winchester man hired a Watertown moving company. The man told police an IPod ($75) was stolen, and the only people that had access to his home was the moving company.

The company reimbursed the man for the IPod.

Wednesday, Nov. 30, 8:43 a.m. – Three 20-foot copper pipes were removed from the Winchester Community School on Highland Avenue.

Thursday, Dec. 1, 10:12 p.m. – A Stoneham man reported to Winchester Hospital for alcohol detoxification. When the man was told he couldn’t have a cigarette at the hospital and that he had to put on a gown he became agitated and threw his pants at the security guard.

The belt buckle hit the guard in the face. Winchester Police warned the man that if they had to come back they would charge him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Friday, Dec. 2, 12:10 a.m. – Winchester Police were called to Sheridan Circle for a domestic disturbance.

4:30 a.m. – While heading to practice a Winchester track runner told police that a man in his 50s or 60s with gray hair and a goatee asked her to help him get his dog in his car – a silver Mercedes.

The girl declined, but the man continued to follow after her. He eventually stopped once she reached her teammates.

Police found the man, but he said that he was having a hard time getting his dog in the car and needed help. The man told police that he now realized that his actions may have been inappropriate.

Saturday, Dec. 3, 11:45 a.m. – A Canal Street resident told police that someone threw an egg at the trunk of his car. Winchester Police advised the man to “take the vehicle to a car wash ASAP.”

Sunday, Dec. 4, 9:18 a.m. – A Taft Circle resident had his 2008 Honda broken into and $87 were stolen.

2:14 p.m. – While backing out of a driveway, a Thornberry Road resident was unable to stop her car and crashed it into her neighbor’s property.
