Police Log: Woburn Teen Arrested as Suspect in Unarmed Robbery

Wednesday, August 17, 9:03 a.m. – While driving along Highland Avenue, by Wolcott Road, a Ledyard Road resident told police that an electrical wire fell on the hood of her car. According to Police, a truck traveling in front of the woman may have pulled the wire down.

11:06 a.m. – A Somerville runner sprained her ankle while running in the Fells and needed to be taken out.

1:52 p.m. – Winchester Hospital security found a black and red Huffy bike.

2:24 p.m. – While at college, a Washington Street student replied to a babysitting ad. The man sent her two money orders worth $1,850 and requested the Winchester student to deposit the money orders and then send him $1,500 cash by Western Union.

She deposited the money orders and sent the money, but shortly after the bank called her and said that the money orders had bounced.

Thursday, August 18, 7:22 a.m. – A Lowell man crashed into a DPW garbage truck along Main Street. The truck was attempting to make a left turn into the Dairy Barn, when the other vehicle went around the car in front of him and hit the truck.

2:37 p.m. – A Woburn teen was arrested on Thursday for robbing two Winchester boys outside of the Burger King on Main Street.

Reginald Pierre, 17, of Bennett Street in Woburn was arrested and charged with two counts of unarmed robbery.

Bail was set at $1,040.

According to Winchester Police, Pierre allegedly asked to use the cell phones of the two Winchester boys. He then refused to give the phones back, got on his bike and rode away.

Winchester Police spotted Pierre riding along Main Street and arrested him.
