Police Log: Woman Claims Husband Steals Her Lingerie

This is an excerpt of the Winchester Police Log from Wednesday, July 28 through Friday, July 30.

July 28, 12:34 a.m. – Winchester Police responded to Vinson Circle where there was a reported car fire. The fire department put out the fire. The owner of the vehicle did say that the car had just returned from the shop where they fixed some type of engine trouble.

July 28, 8:17 a.m. – The police arrived at Andrews Road where the homeowner complained about a landscaping truck that had driven over his lawn earlier in the day. The office did not believe there was any permanent damage to the property, as it seemed the grass was more matted down. The owner just wanted the complaint to be known.

July 28, 3:39 p.m. – A Woburn man showed up at the police department because he had lost his wedding band in the area of Starbucks and the hair salon. It's a gold ring, size 9 with a diamond cut and a wave design.

July 29, 5:22 p.m. – The police noticed a car speed up through a yellow light and then waiting in the right lane at a red light, did not move when the green arrow appeared. Instead, the car waited until the left arrow flashed and cut off two drivers to make the turn. The officer pulled the car over at Lake St. and Middlesex Road.

The passenger of the car provided police with the registration, the car belongs to her stepfather. But both her and the driver were unable to provide any identification that showed they were licensed drivers or legal residents.

The officer issued Nelson Chavez a criminal citation for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

July 29, 5:40 p.m. – The police responded to Charles Road where the woman who lives at the home claimed her husband had locked her out of the house. She is currently separated from her husband.

The woman explained to police that her husband has entered her home in the past when she is not home. She also accused her husband of stealing some of her personal items, such as her perfume and lingerie. She also stated that he eats her food and sleeps in her bed.

She informed police that when she left, the door was open and the air conditioning was on and the key was inside. Now, the door was locked and the air conditioning off.

She eventually received a phone call from her son, and he informed his mother that he and his father are on their way home. The police had the fire department come to help the woman into her house.

The officer also suggested that she should think about filing for a divorce and to change her locks.
