Police Log: Woman Injured in Squire Road Crash

Woman Injured in Squire Road Crash

At 10:22 a.m. April 6, Winchester Police responded to Squire Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident. A 2009 Honda Civic, operated by a man with a woman in the passenger's seat, struck an NSTAR utility pole, causing damage to the pole and extensive damage to the right front end of the vehicle as well as the right front tire, according to a police report. The woman complained of chest pain after the airbag deployed, and she was transported to Lahey Clinic in Burlington, according to the report. The man was not injured, according to the report. NSTAR was notified about the damaged pole, according to the report. The vehicle was towed from the scene, according to the report.

April 5

11:30 a.m.: Police called to Church Street for a report of a two-vehicle accident with one tow and no transports. A report was taken.

2:40 p.m.: Police responded to Cambridge Street on a report of a single-car crash. The car, a silver 2013 Ford Focus, struck a yellow pole and yellow blinking light which rests on the median of Cambridge Street, according to a police report. The vehicle, driven by a Woburn man whose wife was in the passenger's seat, was towed from the scene to Bonnell Ford where it would be repaired, according to the report. Coincidentally, the driver was leaving the Ford lot and planned to make a right turn before deciding at the last second to make a left onto Cambridge Street and could not make the turn, hitting the pole, according to the report. The repairs will be made at the Ford dealership, according to the report.

4:14 p.m.: A citizen turned in a large sum of money found in the area of Winchester Cooperative Bank on Church Street, according to a police report. The money was stored in an evidence locker, according to the report.

8:02 p.m.: Police called to Clark Street on a report of a larceny. A woman told police that sometime in the past week a child-size mountain bike was stolen from their backyard, according to a police report. The woman was unable to provide the make of the bike, but she did describe it as a 24-27 inch white bike with a green swirl painted on the frame, according to the report. She valued the bike at $150, according to the report.

April 7

10:47 a.m.: A person visited the police station and dropped off an iPod with a purple rubber protective case in the shape of a bear, according to a police report. Police were unable to determine the owner of the iPod due to the password lock on the phone, according to the report. The iPod was entered into the property secton and stored in a temporary evidence locker, according to the report.
