6:12 a.m.: A resident and her dog witnessed an attempted break-in of their neighbor’s Ford Explorer on Hemingway Street. The resident said she first saw the man standing next to her neighbor’s vehicle when her dog started barking on Tuesday night. It wasn’t until the car alarm went off that she suspected something was wrong. The owner of the vehicle reported nothing was stolen or any damage to the Explorer, but said the visible electronics are probably what attracted the man. The neighbor described the suspect as a “tall, skinny kid, perhaps a teenage male”. She also said he could have been in his early 20s.
