Police Logs For May 3 to May 6

The following information is supplied by the Winchester PD. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, May 3

11:57 a.m.: A black Landrover turned onto Church Street from the rotary with an expired registration sticker. Upon stopping and gaining the driver’s information the officer concluded that the registration was in fact expired. The vehicle was towed.

1:47 p.m.: A Nissan backed out of a parking spot and hit a Toyota at the Winchester Hospital parking lot. Minor damage sustained.

4:30 p.m.: A black Toyota Corolla was pulled over on Mt. Vernon Street for having expired registration sticker. It was determined that the registration was expired and the vehicle was towed.

9 p.m.: A Honda Civic attempted a lawful left turn on to Lake Street from Main Street. Operator of a Ford Focus was traveling northbound on Main Street and was distracted, causing them to make contact with the Civic. The driver of the Focus then drove away without stopping or leaving their information. They were cited for leaving a scene of a crime after knowingly causing property damage.

Friday, May 4 

6:56 a.m.: Reports of vandalism at a construction site on Waterfield Road. Between 3:30 p.m. and 6:45 a.m., someone smashed in the windshield of an excavator, which was parked in Ginn Field. A brick was found inside the vehicle.

2:25 p.m.: A Toyota Camry stopped to left a vehicle turn and was struck from behind be a Ford Focus Wagon at the intersection of Main Street and Skillings Road. The operator of the Ford Focus had a suspended license and a lengthy drivers history. Theywere cited for driving with a suspended license and the vehicles were removed from the street.

2:49 p.m.: Someone kicked in the back door of 306 Highland Ave. A 19 inchflat screen and boxes of jewlery TV were taken. The investigation is on going.

3:19 p.m.: officer came across a parked vehicle with an expired registration near Swanton and Washington Street. The vehicle was towed.

5:04 p.m.: A Toyota Highlander was pulling out of a parking spot on Main Street when it struck a Honda Oddessy traveling south on Main Street toward Mystic Valley Parkway.

Saturday, May 5

12:16 a.m.: Owner of a Buick Regal reported damage under $1,000 at the Waterfield Lot.

Sunday, May 6

 10:10 a.m.: A yellow mountain bike was stolen out of the driveway of a Fairmount Street residence at some point between 6 and 10 p.m. the night before.

4:58 p.m.: A chain link fence and a power chord were damaged at 23 Canal St.
