Police Logs From April 17 to April 19

Tuesday, April 17 at 8:05 p.m.: Two people were walking their dogs, a Chihuahua and a Rottweiler, on Florence and Swanton Street when a dog from 11 Olive st. ran over and attacked the Rottweiler. While attempting to break up the fight, one of the dog owners was bitten by the attacking dog on the left arm. The wound was cleaned up and bandaged and no further medical assistance was required.

Wednesday, April 18 at 1:25 p.m.: A dump truck and a Jeep Grand Cherokee came in contact with one another at the intersection of Church and Bacon St when the two vehicles were lined up side by side. When the light turned green, the truck turned right into the Jeep.

Thursday, April 19 at 7:21 p.m.: The resident of 9 Bridge St. found a crowbar on their back porch. The resident did not own the 24 inch crowbar, nor did they know where it had come from. Nothing was amiss in the house.

Thursday, April 19, 7:45 p.m.: Reports someone wrote a check, made it out to cash and signed it. They later realized that they had lost it. Upon calling the Winchester Savings Bank, it became clear that someone else had cashed said check. The bank was unable to see where the check had been cashed until the next day. The bank will deliver a copy of the cashed check to the police for documentation of check fraud.
