Police Logs From April 25 to April 29

Wednesday, April 25.

10:51 a.m.: Photographic evidence provided in a larceny from a home under construction on Beacon Street. Images of an individual stealing tools and other equipment. A detailed list of tools and other stolen items will be provided. An image of the thief will also be provided in attempts to identify the individual.

Friday, April 27

8:20 a.m.: A 2003 Honda facing west on Pond St. attempted to turn left onto Cambridge St. A 2012 Honda traveling straight on Cambridge St. A 2010 Honda attempted to turn left on to Pond Street. The 2003 Honda pulled out in front of the 2012 Honda and crashed into the right front area of the ’03 Honda, causing it to swerve left and crash into the 2010 Honda. The 2003 and 2012 Hondas were towed away, while the 2010 Honda drove away on its own power.

1:45 p.m.: Fresh graffiti found on the tunnel walls at the Winchester Train Depot. Black felt tip maker, several phrases and drawings.

5:35 p.m.: A 2010 Honda Accord travelling on Cambridge St. failed to stop in traffic and rear-ended a Honda Civic, which was propelled into a 2000 Honda Accord.

8:52 p.m.: Officer responded to reports that kids were partying at the Water Tower, a known, common hangout spot where under aged teenagers drink alcohol and smoke grass, etc. Upon arrival, five youths standing next to Subaru spotted the marked cruiser and one took off running towards Girard Rd. The rest stayed put. None could provide a logical reason as to why they were there. At this time, another cruiser spotted the runaway youth and brought him back to the site. While talking to the police, a bag of marijuana was visible in the trunk of the vehicle. One of the youths stated that they had some weed on them and produced a baggy of two small nuggets. Rolling papers and a silver grinder were inside the vehicle. Two youths were issued citations if $100 for possession of less than an ounce. Their parents would also be notified. All involved parties were checked for sobriety and sent on their way.

Sunday, April 29

2:16 p.m.: A bicycle was found leaning on a tree in the front yard on Grassmere Avenue. It had been there since the night before. The bike was placed in the garage at the Police Station and logged as property.

5:45 p.m.: A Toyota Corolla rear-ended a Chevy on Bacon St. at the corner of Church St. after becoming distracted.
