Police Logs: Minors Report Suspicious Man Near Chefalo Park

Friday, Aug. 10

2:34 p.m.: A 21-year-old Stoneham woman was reported striking a 25-year-old man in the face with a wine glass and kicking a 20-year-old woman in the chin at a gathering in Winchester. The man has injuries to his chest, neck and face from the strike and several punches. A witness told the officer the 21 year old and the man have been in a relationship for three years and recently broke up.

The 20-year-old woman of Winchester told officers she fought with the Stoneham woman two times after she was kicked in the face while walking down stairs.

The Winchester woman provided threatening texts and Facebook messages both from the woman who assaulted her and her mother. The officer advised her to apply for a harassment protection order since she was scared of an altercation at her home or work, according to the report. No charges have been filed at this time.

5:10 p.m.: Two girls reported a man asking them to get in his car near . The girls were searching for their neighbors’ dog when they ran into a man they described as heavy set, not wearing a shirt, scruffy gray beard and shaggy hair and in his 50s. The man was in a bright red older sedan, according to the report. The girls told the officer they approached him asking about the dog when he asked them to get in his car. They ran toward their home at this point and saw him drive past them on Washington Street.

11:20 p.m.: A 2002 Oldsmobile collided with a 2001 Toyota after a series of road rage incidents. The Toyota driver said the other man cut him off in Woburn, while the Oldsmobile driver said the opposite. The Oldsmobile driver was reported flipping the other car off and making threats while they continued to drive, and the Toyota driver called 911 to report these actions, according to the report. It was at the intersection of High and Cambridge streets when the Oldsmobile was attempting to move around the other car to make a lefthand turn and collided with it. The officer said that turn lane is illegal, and told both drivers they were being childish.

Saturday, Aug. 11

1:02 a.m.: Two Winchester males where issued a Town Bylaw citation of $100 for possession of marijuana less than an ounce. The officers reported seeing them in a parked Mustang after midnight near the intersection of Girard and Hilltop roads. When the officers approached the vehicle, they smelled marijuana and also found a joint in the car and a bag of unburnt marijuana next to it, according to the report. The males were able to leave the scene after passing a sobriety test.

3:24 p.m.: A 2010 Honda backed into a parked 2009 Nissan from a driveway on Tufts Road.
