Rash of Larcenies in Police Logs From Dec. 1 to Dec. 3

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

December 1

7:46 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle on Warren Street. On arrival, the caller showed police his Toyota Camry, which had no signs of forced entry. The caller reported that $250, two credit cards, an iPod touch and a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses were missing.

8:35 a.m.: A car was traveling west on Forest Street when it hit black ice and swerved left into a wall.

December 2

3:18 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a larceny by bank check at the station. The victim told police that they had three personal checks stolen from them valued at $155, $155, and $175. The victim contacted their banks and are monitoring their funds.

4:15 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud. Bank of America contacted the victim, saying that there were suspicious charges to her husband’s credit card from Connecticuit, where someone spent $404.45 on liquor, clothing and parking. The caller contacted their banks and canceled the card.

 

December 3

4:50 p.m.: A car tried to make a left on Pond Street to Cambridge Street when a car traveling southbound on Cambridge Street and ran into the turning car. 

10:38 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a larceny on Herrick Street. The caller told police that they had a sign in their front yard supporting the school override and it was missing in the moring, The gardener told the caller that three teenagers stole it.
