Somerville Man Arrested as Suspect in Winchester Armed Robbery

A 44-year-old Somerville resident was arrested and charged with armed robbery Monday night.

According to Lieutenant Peter MacDonnell, Michael Wallace, 44, 10 Dysart Street, Somerville was arrested and charged with armed robbery Monday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Wallace was held without bail and is scheduled to appear in Woburn District Court on Tuesday.

Winchester Police Detective, Paul DeLuca, along with officers from Somerville and Medford, were involved in the arrest of Wallace.

On June 15, Wallace . According to MacDonnell, Wallace is also accused of robbing a convenience store in Somerville and Medford.

“Somerville and Medford both had convenience stores in their community robbed at gunpoint and we were able to determine it was the same person,” MacDonnell said.

Wallace was arrested in Somerville, next to Forest Park, along Broadway.

“Both Winchester and Somerville received anonymous tips that led us to focus on this one suspect,” MacDonnell said.
