Swimmer's Personal Possessions Stolen at Sandy Beach

At 10:12 p.m. July 14, a person visited the police station to report a theft at Sandy Beach, according to a police report. Shortly after midnight, a man went swimming at the beach but when he returned he discovered his keys and iPhone 4S were missing, according to the report. The victim believes a group of unknown kids possibly from Medford talking in the area were responsible for the theft, according to the report. 

July 12

3:43 p.m.: Police responded to Carter Street for a report of hypodermic needles found on the street, according to a police report. The items were discarded properly.

7:50 p.m.: Police called to the intersection of Berkshire Drive and Johnson Road for a report of a two-vehicle accident, according to a police report. No tows or transports reported.

July 13

4:40 a.m.: Police responded to Locke Street for a report of a fight in the roadway, according to a police report. Upon arrival, police reported seeing a gray Pontiac sedan leaving the scene, according to the report. Police attempted to stop the vehicle in Winchester, but ultimately the vehicle stopped in Arlington, the report notes. Police told the 25-year-old Boston woman driving the car that she would be summonsed to a Woburn court for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, according to the report. The woman's boyfriend’s father later picked up the vehicle and the woman, the report adds.

10:01 a.m.: Police issued eight civil citations at the Middlesex Fells Reservation, including three $50 citations for fishing in the North Reservoir, two $100 marijuana fines and three $50 fines for trespassing.

July 14

5:57 p.m.: Several people at the North Reservoir at the Middlesex Fells Reservation were issued either fishing or trespassing civil citations, according to a police report.

1:41 p.m.: A man visited the police station to report that his son’s bike was stolen from Shore Road near the Griffin Museum, according to a police report. The bike was described as a mountain/trail bike, with a green frame, according to  the report. The victim believes the suspect is a juvenile from Woburn; however, officers were unsuccessful making contact with the suspect, according to the report.
