Two Arrests for Domestic Assault and Battery in Winchester

At 1:34 p.m. April 10, Winchester Police responded to the area of Common and Church Streets for a report of a disturbance, according to a police report. Ciro Faienza, 20, of 408 Highland Ave., Winchester, was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery for allegedly slapping his wife across the face with an open hand, according to the report. An infant was present during the verbal argument that turned physical, according to the report. DCF was reportedly contacted.

At 12:37 p.m. April 13, police were called to the area of Middlesex Street on a report of a domestic assault and battery in progress, according to a police report. Philip Campbell, 30, 40, of 995 Massachusetts Ave., Apt. 306, Arlington, was arrested for domestic assault and battery after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend's hair to keep her from exiting the vehicle following a verbal argument, according to the report.

April 9

7:48 a.m.: Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Main Street with no tows or transports, according to a police report.

1:26 p.m.: Police called to the intersection of Shore and Skillings Roads for a two-vehicle accident with two tows and two transports, according to a police report. A 51-year-old Winchester man told police he had stopped at the intersection before his vehicle was struck at great force from behind, according to the report. The man, who complained of having neck pain, claims to have lost consciousness briefly and the next thing he could remember was an officer holding his head still and telling him not to move, and he was placed into a c-collar and placed on a backboard, according to the report. 

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Medford woman operating the other vehice that struck the Winchester man's vehicle complained of neck, arm and chest pain due to airbag deployment, according to the report. She was placed into a c-collar and on a backboard, according to the report. Police filed criminal citations against the woman for operating a vehicle without insurance, operating a vehicle without a license, unregsitered operation of a vehicle and impeded operation of a vehicle.

2:30 p.m.: Police called to the intersection of Lowell Avenue and Cross Street for a report of a two-vehicle accident, according to a police report. No tows or transports reported.

2:45 p.m.: Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Oneida Road and Westland Avenue, according to a police report. No tows or transports reported.

5:20 p.m.: Police called to Highland Avenue on a report of a two-vehicle accident, according to a police report. No tows or transports reported.

April 10

4:19 p.m.: Police called to the intersection of Pond and Cambridge Streets for a report of a three-vehicle accident, according to a police report. One vehicle was towed, and no one was injured, according to the report.

7 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for a woman allegedly speeding in the area of Bridge Street and Skillings Road, according to a police report. The vehicle was towed from the scene after it was discovered that the vehicle was unregistered, according to the report. A citation for allowing a person to operate an unregistered vehicle on a public way was not issued for the man who owned the vehicle because he is currently incarcerated for an extended period of time, according to the report.

10:24 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Skillings Road near Winchester High School for a report of a single-vehicle accident with no injuries, according to a police report. The vehicle was towed from the scene, according to the report. A 21-year-old Columbian nanny, who resided at the car owner's address in Lexington, told police she was adjusting the radio and did not see the utility pole before crashing into it, according to the report. She was issued citations for operating a vehicle without a license and marked lanes violation. NSTAR was called to the scene, as was Winchester Highway Department to clear the road of vehicle debris and the pole, according to the report.

April 11

11:45 a.m.: Police called to the intersection of Lake, Palmer and Middlesex Streets for a report of a two-vehicle accident, according to a police report. A passenger in the front right seat of a car, driven by a 16-year-old Wnchester teen, that reportedly struck a vehicle in front of it was taken to Winchester Hospital after complaining of chest and hip pain, according to the report. The teen, driving a 2005 Honda Odyssey, told officers that her attention was drawn away from the road when she struck a moving truck ahead of her on the road, according to the report. The teen's vehicle was towed from the scene, according to the report.

9:18 p.m.: Police conducted a stop of a motor vehicle in the area of Highland Avenue and Mount Vernon Street for speeding, according to a police report. An officer near the driver's side window detected the odor of unburnt marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to the report. While conducting a search, police reportedly found one-eighth ounce of unburnt marijuana in a baggy, according to the report. The driver, a 19-year-old Everett man, was issued a (ww for speeding and town by law for drugs). Evidence seized.

April 12

5 a.m.: Police responded to Lincoln Street for a report of a larceny from a vehicle, according to a police report. A rear window on the driver's side of the vehicle was smashed and several items were stolen, including a Dell laptop, Microsoft tablet, Blackberry cell phone, black leather brief case, nylon gym bag and gym wear, according to the report. Lawn furniture cushions were reportedly used to muffle the sound of the glass breaking, according to the report. 

11 a.m.: Police called to the intersection of Thompson and Main Streets for a report of a two-vehicle accident, according to a police report. One vehicle was towed due to the driver having a suspended registration in New Hampshire, according to the report. The driver was also operating the vehicle without his insurance paperwork, according to the report.

April 13

9:47 a.m.: Police responded to Lantern Lane for a report of vandalism, according to a police report. The homeowner found holes in a screen window and a paine of glass in the kitchen, according to the report. The damage may have been caused by a pellet or BB, according to the report.

12:45 p.m.: Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highland Avenue, according to a police report. No tows or transports were reported.

8:38 p.m.: Police responded to Salem Street for a report of a theft from a building, according to a police report. A Hewletter-Packard laptop was stolen from the residence, according to the report. 

April 14

8:38 p.m.: Police called to the Town Pantry on Main Street for a report of a lost or stolen wristlet containing $200 cash, a prepaid Visa card and the woman's Massachusetts license, according to a police report. Orlando Chacon, 30, of 129 Division St., Chelsea, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250, according to the report.

April 15

2:18 p.m.: Police responded to Squire Road for a report of fraud, according to a police report. The victim reportedly fell prey to a Western Union scame after he posted an ad on Craigslist trying to sell a used chainsaw, according to the report.

April 16

1:14 p.m.: Police called to the Community Music School on Highland Avenue for a report of Craigslist fraud, according to a police report. 

6:15 p.m.: Police responded to Swanton Street for a report of a two-vehicle accident with no tows or transports, according to a police report.
