Two Winchester Men Charged With Selling Drugs After Raid

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two Winchester men were arrested for possession of drugs.

Inaldo Oquendo, 20 and Timothy Loftman, 30, of 336 Cambridge Street were arrested and charged with possession of a Class A, B and D substances with intent to distribute.

According to Lt. Peter MacDonnell, police received a tip to investigate the two men. And after an ongoing investigation, local police, along with the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force that consisted of area officers, including Det. Angelo Piazza of the Woburn PD, acquired a warrant to search the Cambridge Street home, MacDonnell said.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, a SWAT team entered the home and found multiple bags of heroine, crack cocaine, marijuana and cash, MacDonnell said. The two men were present and arrested without incident.

“We had information that there could be a possibility of violence and weapons,” MacDonnell said.

According to MacDonnell, the men were selling the drugs in Winchester and the surrounding communities. The two men lived out the house for the last three years, he said.

“It was a good bust,” MacDonnell said. “It was a problem that needed to be addressed.”

The two men were arrested and booked at the Winchester Police Department. Arraignment was set for Friday, Dec. 2.

“Every town has drugs in it,” MacDonnell said. “But this was a significant bust because this was a local problem. This was being coordinated in Winchester and that was an issue.

“This type of crime that these guys commit impacts the community. This prevents the sale of drugs to our children and other related crimes that naturally accompany drug distribution.”
