Water Main Break on Cambridge Road

Water Main Break

There's a water main break on Cambridge Road right next to the Woburn town line. The Woburn Department of Public Works said that there is a tear at one of the joints aprroximately eight-inches long. They will attempt to put a sleeve over the leak.

The break occurred just past the "Entering to Woburn" sign on Cambridge Street and is in the town of Woburn. According to Liz Campbell of the Winchester Department of PublicWorks, the water main break is not believed to impact the Winchester residents that live in the area.

The Woburn Department of Public Works said that the cause of the break is still unknown. But it is believed that even though the break occurred inches away from the Winchester town line there should be no impact on the town.

However, if it does effect the Winchester residents along Cambridge Street, they will only have some brown water. And if that's the case, the Woburn DPW suggested to hold off on using the water until the pipe is fixed, which should be sometime late this afternoon.
