Winchester Man Arrested for Allegedly Carrying Illegal Gun

arrested a local resident for allegedly carrying a handgun at the Wedgemere Train Station Sunday morning.

Brandon Holladay, 21, of 14 Myrtle St. in Winchester, was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm without being properly licensed.

Winchester Police were called to the Wedgemere Train Station as a witness spotted Holladay holding a gun. According to the police report, when the officers arrived, Holloday ran down the ramp, over the tracks and down a small hill, before he fell into some bushes where he was arrested.

Holladay informed the officers that he had marijuana in his pocket, according to the report.

Winchester Police found the handgun – a Rohm model, .22 caliber revolver – at the bottom of the platform, in the Aberjona Parking Lot. The gun was not loaded.

Holladay was transported to the Woburn Police Department where bail was set at $1,000.
